Privitisation of water distribution networks in Buenos Aires
Case study is part of the Rights and Democracy project on Human Rights Impact Assessment. It will examine a controversial investment project by Suez/Vivendi which threatens the Argentinian's right to water. The case is headed for arbitration by the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID, World Bank).
Project partners: Centro de Estudios Legales y Sociales (CELS), Asociación Civil por la Igualdad y la Justicia (ACIJ), together with other partners, have won the right to present an amicus curiae in the dispute.
