The local authority serving the city of Aberdeen in North-east Scotland, UK uses impact assessment as an integral part of their planning and policy development, which helps to provide well-balanced and well thought out proposals.
Aim for human rights
Aim for human rights, in cooperation with other organisations, develops human rights impact assessment methods and tools to assess the impact of governmental and other policies on human rights. These help to translate human rights norms into practical and workable objectives, and thus contribute directly to the realisation of human rights.

Danish Institute for Human Rights
The Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR) is a national human rights institution in accordance with the UN Paris Principles. It became part of the Danish Centre for International Studies and Human Rights January 1, 2003. The work of DIHR includes research, analysis, information, education, documentation, and complaints handling, as well as a large number of national and international programmes. DIHR takes a multidisciplinary approach to human rights, and the DIHR employ staff from the areas of law, political science, economics, and others.
Halifax Initiative
The Halifax Initiative is a Canadian coalition of development, environment, faith-based, human rights and labour groups. Their goal is to fundamentally transform the international financial system and its institutions so as to achieve poverty eradication, environmental sustainability and the full realisation of human rights.

How to Submit an Organisation

Please enter as much information as possible before submitting your organisation. Title must be provided. All other fields are optional.

After entering the organisation details press Submit. You can then enter contact information.

Submit a New Organisation

To add a new HRIA Provider to the Resource Database, enter as much information as possible in the fields below before submitting the organisation. The HRIRC Content Management team will review the information provided and if it is suitable the organisation will be added to the public database. If necessary you will be contacted for clarification using the email address in your HRIRC profile.
