Peace and Conflict Impact Assessment (PCIA) Handbook

The Peace and Conflict Impact Assessment framework presented in this Handbook consists of a 9-step approach which is divided over three parts: Community profile, Impact assessment and Decision. A number of tools is presented under each of these parts, including impact assessment tools (tools for assessing political impact, economic-social-cultural impact and security impact).

The overall aim of the instrument is to facilitate conflict-sensitive programming in development; thus the instrument is designed mainly for development practicioners.
