Training Workshop: 'Child Rights in Practice: Measuring Our Impact'

 

The International Institute for Child Rights and Development (IICRD) will be hosting an interactive training on 'Children’s Rights in Practice: Measuring Our Impact' from 10 May 2009 to 17 May 2009.

The topics to be addressed include measuring the impact of the CRC on children and their world with special focus on:
• Assessing the impact of services for children across various government and NGO sectors
• Monitoring and evaluation of child centred legislation and services
• Rights based approaches to monitoring and evaluation
• Child participation in measuring impact
• Community based, contextual approaches to monitoring and evaluation

Special emphasis will be given on learning and sharing how individuals and agencies are measuring the impact of rights based programming, engaging children and community, contextualizing programs and affecting larger systemic change. A variety of tools and approaches will be highlighted in the process.

This training is intented for professionals and students, nationally and internationally who work with children and are interested in measuring the impact of children's rights.
