The Carr Centre for Human Rights Policy
The Carr Centre for Human Rights Policy is linked to the John F. Kennedy School of Governance of Harvard University. The Carr Centre's research and teaching are directed towards public policy: the Centre aims to make human rights principles central to the formulation of good public policy in United States and throughout the world. The Centre also collaborates with human rights organizations.

HRIA activities
One of the Carr Centre's programs is the Measuring Impact Program, focusing on the measurement of human rights. In 2005 the Carr Centre has organized the conference "Measuring progress, assessing impact" and in July 2006 another HRIA-related conference is organised: “Measuring Impact in Human Rights: Models for a Path Forward”.
