Scotland's Commissioner for Children and Young People
The function of Scotland's Commissioner for Children and Young People, currently fulfilled by Kathleen Marshall, was created by a law passed by the Scottish Parliament in 2003. The Commissioner aims to make sure that all relevant actors comply with their obligations under the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

SCCYP is actively engaged in children's rights impact assessment. They have developed a model for children's rights impact assessment, which has been used in a number of particular cases.
