Publication of the Danish Institute for Human Rights, Country Commitment Index. This publication presents an index of countries and regions, which is has been developed mainly for the work of the Danish Institute of Human Rights. It aims to contribute to strategy development and country assessments of the Insititute. The purpose of the publication is to provide 'project managers; partners, as well as external stakeholders in Denmark' and in countries where the Institute works with assessment tools 'which allow international comparison in terms of processes of democratisation, compliance with fundamental human rights, and a broader range of related subjects such a development problems, crime levels, and intra-regional movements of people' (Source Danish Institute for Human Rights, HumanRights Indicators). This has also been used as a basis for the Country Risk Assessments (CRA) of the Danish Institute for Human Rights Human Rights and Business Project. Finally the Country Commitment Index is one of the features of the Human Rights Compliance Assessment Tool.
