This publication presents the Democratic Analytical Framework developed by Rights and Democracy to analyse democratic development in any given country. The idea for the democratic development framework is based on the The democratic Analytic Framework is part of the Democratic Development Excercise. This model is build up in four phases. Phase 1 is the Analytical Framework. Second phase is the research phase where the common framework of the Analytical Framework is applied in specific country situations. In this phase key strategic issues are identified and actively processed with key actors in those issues. The third phase, called socialisation, is intended to 'socialise' relevant actors with the results of the research phase, broaden the group of actors willing to promote the strategies, and deepen the commitment of actors involved. The final phase is programming.
