The Human Rights Compliance Assessment is a diagnostic tool designed to promote corporate social responsibility by providing companies with useful information about how to avoid human rights violations in all aspects of their operations. It is a practical tool which has been mapped against the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and can assist companies with GRI and Global Compact reporting.
The tool contains approximately 350 questions and more than 1,000 corresponding human rights indicators. It is an interactive web-based computer programme, where each company can select the questions in the database which is applicable to their type of business and area of activities. Once the questionnaire is complete, the programme generates a final report in identifying areas of compliance and non-compliance in the company’s activities.
