The entire process will lead to the availability of a practical and efficient Human Rights Compliance Instrument on Domestic Violence for use worldwide. Using the same instrument to assess the compliance of their country with the existing Human Rights standards on Domestic Violence will enable organisations to more easily compare results and to learn from each other.
Making The Human Rights Compliance Instrument On Domestic Violence Available Worldwide
Aim for human rights has gained a lot of experience with the roll out of a finalised instrument, so we can assure a large number of organisations, that would benefit from working with the Instrument, will be brought into contact with the instrument. We will use our experience to develop a sustainable support system for the international roll out of the Domestic Violence instrument. The co-developing organisations will also take an active part in the roll out.
Steps involved in the effective roll out of the instrument will include maintaining an online support resource center to publish results and strengthen the international network; translating the instrument in other languages; introduction sessions and trainings; developing training materials and format; providing coaching and feedback to organisations using the instrument; gathering feedback for improvement of the instrument and lessons learnt.
The development and use of the Human Rights Compliance Instrument on Domestic Violence will strengthen the global fight against Domestic Violence. Domestic Violence is not inevitable. A targeted approach that stresses the Human Rights of the victims and the obligation of states to ending Domestic Violence will have a real impact on lives.
