The Human Rights Compliance Assessment South Africa is designed to help companies detect potential human rights violations as a result of their activities. The tool has been developed jointly by the Danish Institute for Human Rights, Aim for human rights, local organisations and companies. The South African counterparts have been united in the Human Rights and Business Project SA, with the African Institute of Corporate Citizenship (AICC) as focal point

Using the HRCA SA can have the following positive effects on the following:

• Trust of non-governmental organisations (NGO’s) in the company
