International Human Rights Law Short Course

The aim is to give a better understanding of human rights standards and systems.

This three or six month course gives a understanding of human rights standards across the world through seminars, guest lectures, workshops, visits, tutorials and conferences. This short course is for those interested in human rights protection. The course starts on 28 September and runs until 11 December. The application deadline is 10 September.

This course will give a better understanding of international human rights standards and systems. Participants will attend four different seminars and have to choose four different lecture modules.

The seminars are:

-          Introductory programme

-          International human rights law

-          Regional human rights systems

-          Implementation of human rights standards in National systems

The participants will visit institutions and NGO’s that will give a practical insight into there work. This includes a visit to a criminal court, a prison, a local NGO, and the University of Cambridge. For more information about the course or application click here
